Session Description

In an era where technology permeates every facet of life, the mission to develop AI that not only comprehends but genuinely cares, has become paramount. As AI applications and models increasingly cast their influence over industries like healthcare, finance, education and beyond, the need for AI to embrace and reflect ethical principles is vital.

Join us as we delve into the complexities of AI ethics, decode the challenges that need to be considered when building new AI applications, and examine the roles played by government, multi-stakeholder groups, and academics in establishing the ethical framework that underpins future evolutions. We will also explore the path of developing an AI that champions social inclusivity, human welfare and environmental sustainability, mapping out the blueprint of AI for Good.

The session will discover:

• Who should regulate the industry to develop and implement AI ethically? How should the governments, multistakeholder groups and academics work together for AI ethics principles

• How companies can pursue ethical AI? What is the guide for embedding ethics in AI design and development?

• Data ethics: what data was used in training and, most importantly, what went into their algorithms’ recommendations, to ensure the AI inclusivity and avoid the AI bias?

• AI for Human Welfare, bridging the digital divide and ensuring equitable benefits across all segments of society
