Speaker Bio
Su Yu is currently the Vice President of China Mobile Chengdu Institute of Research and Development, Co-Chair of the GSMA Drone Interest Group, Fellow of the China Institute of Communications, and Senior Member of the IEEE. He graduated from Northwestern Polytechnical University with a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering, and has published more than ten SCI and EI papers as the first author. As the chief designer of China Mobile's 5G-powered drone product research and development project, he led the development of China's first cloud-network-terminal product system based on 5G-powered drones, including: the development of China's first drone onboard 5G communication terminal ‘Hubble I’, China's first 5G-based UAV cloud management and operation platform "China Mobile Link Cloud", and 5G networks covering UAV flight airspace. The above products have been promoted and commercialized by customers in China and other countries.
